Ike's Fury
Ike turned and headed north. Mike's Aunt Valerie and her family live in Spring, TX - just a little north of Houston. My email buddy, Paul, lives there too (he works for Mike's Uncle Steven). We are thinking of them and everyone else in that area. The footage is just amazing and scary. We're hoping for the best. Our prayers are with Texans today.

My dad and little brother live in Spring TX too. We are praying for all those in Ikes path!

Katie - I didn't know you have family in Spring. How are they? Have you heard? Mike hasn't talked to his mom (in Austin) to see if she's talked to her sister and husband.
My email (and fellow cancer survivor) Paul hasn't answered his email. He lives somewhere in Houston. I hope he's okay too.

Yeah my dad has lived in Spring with his family for well over 20 years now. It is a nice area, but hot as anything! LOL
I have not heard from either of them. I emailed my brother the other day as I was not able to get him on the telephone. The call just would not connect. If I hear anything I will let you know.
I will keep your family and friends in my prayers. :)
Paul who works with Mike's Uncle Steven said that Steven's family doesn't have power (this was Wed.), but they had limited damage to their house. Paul also had limited damage, but he said it's pretty devastating down there. I've been reading the Houston Chronicle online www.chron.com for information. It's so bad down there. People still don't have power today - 1 week later! Gas, bread, and milk are in short supply.
